Building process FAQs

When will my dwelling be built?

The developer will nominate a building contractor to start building according to approved building plans and specifications as soon as the transfer of the erf has taken place. All relevant documentation is included with the Building Contract.

When will my dwelling be completed?

According to the conditions of the Building Contract, the developer has to complete the unit within 250 days (excluding Sundays and South African Public Holidays), subject to delays referred to in the building contract, after the date the building process of the unit has commenced.

Can I change the specifications?

Yes, but all changes must be in writing and must have your, as well as the Developer’s written approval. Please liaise with the Marketing office. You will be provided with the additional costs that will be payable.

When can I make my final choices and changes to the specifications?

You will be contacted by the Developer’s office in good time to make your choices. There will be a specified time to allow for any changes, where after the standard specifications will be used.

May I visit the building site?

It will be possible, providing the safety measures be adhered to in accordance with legislation which is applicable. You are thus required to only visit the building site with the permission of the nominated project manager and it will be required that you strictly adhere to the regulations and rules set down.
